Safari Roof Rack 2006+

Xcentrix Campervans have designed a Safari Style roof rack for the Mercedes Sprinter ( High Roof models)  . Our ” Safari Roof Rack ” is Australian made , built from high quality aluminium . We use aluminium tubing that we bend for a flowing stylish look , the frame is fully welded together for added strength , its then powder coated texture black for a durable finish .

Our ” Safari Roof Rack ” houses 4 x 7 inch spot lights , the housing bars hang over the top of the cabin area. Our unique Roof Rack design opens up an additional 880mm of newly acquired & very valuable roof real estate . This new roof space is ideal for getting larger solar panels to work .

The photo below shows one of our most popular models. This roof rack houses a huge  400w Solar Panel  , Dometic Aircon , Large Skylight 700 x 500 , 3.5mtr Awning and has access points and run ways , so you can still get up onto your roof , for viewing , storage or cleaning .

Xcentrix Campervans can design your Roof Rack over emails , we can work with you or your Campervan builder , to design a “Safari Roof Rack ”  that will house everything you require ( Solar panels , hatches , Aircon , surfboards etc. )

Xcentrix Campervans have built many Roof Racks and carried out many custom builds on the MWB  Sprinters , so we really have a good idea on what will fit where and we are aware on how the internal fit out can effect the roof rack design.

Once we have settled on a design we will secure a deposit , than  begin construction of your rack .

After powder coating  , we install the ( spot lights , solar , surfboard racks etc ) . to your rack , then we are ready to book a date for the install .

INSTALL PROCESS

Xcentrix Campervans like to start with your bare van before any installs have been carried out . We require a bare van so we can access the points required to attach our roof rack rails.

We will mark the cut outs for your hatches , skylights , Aircons and wire terminals in the precise place required to match up with our roof rack design .

We will then carry out all the cut outs , clean up all the swarf and rust proof your inners. Next step is to install your required hatches etc including the internal support frames.

Wires for the front spot lights / 12v Awning and security lights ( if required ) are run through the wire junction boxes and the roof rails are installed . Once all the roof items are installed and back sealed we carry out a water test .

Your ” Safari Roof Rack ” Is now ready for install , we lower the rack onto the Sprinter , secure it and then begin connecting items ( ie, Spot lights , awning )

Now your Sprinter is ready for the internal Campervan fit out , with the piece of mind of a quality roof install 🙂
